AdSense Policy Updates

Two notable AdSense policy components were announced today at the Official AdSense blog:

1. The Page Quality Requirement which many AdWord users are already accustomed to. This is more about improving the usability of a website and the quality of its content.

2. Three link units are now allowed in stead of the old law of only one unit.

I think a poll like this would be more reliable if it’s run by the Google AdSense team itself either on its blog or straight from our AdSense accounts. What do you think? Or will Google even make public some info like this?

AdSense - A Brand New Look

Google AdSense, one of the most popular ad-serving programs, has undergone a nice makeover of its homepage. This step was preceded by the facelift done for their ad units. Why the change? Since it looks better than before, obviously the main reason would be to make the homepage more visually appealing. AdSense is one of the services of Google that bring in most of the big bucks.

A history lesson for those who are not very familiar with AdSense — The core technology behind AdSense, was obtained originally from WordNet and Simpli, a company created by the founder of Wordnet - George A. Miller - with a number of professors and graduate students from Brown University. Oingo later developed a modification of this technology operating Wordnet. Oingo then changed its name to Applied Semantics, and then was bought by Google for $102 million on April 2003. - Wikipedia
