Google Analytics Got a New Version
I’m bugged by this Google Analytics problem since a few days ago. And just today I’ve learned that Google Analytics will get an upgrade. I wonder if it’s the redesign that’s causing that custom date range problem I ran into everytime I change the setting of the dates I’d like to monitor. I just logged in today and it’s now all fixed up.
Back to the Google Analytics upgrade, here are the new improvements:
Email and export reports: Schedule or send ad-hoc personalized report emails and export reports in PDF format.
Custom Dashboard: No more digging through reports. Put all the information you need on a custom dashboard that you can email to others.
Trend and Over-time Graph: Compare time periods and select date ranges without losing sight of long term trends.
Contextual help tips: Context sensitive Help and Conversion University tips are available from every report.
The reporting interface got tweaked a bit and for more information, the FAQ can help.
I checked if the changes are already up, and nope not yet. According to Darren, we still have to wait for a few weeks before the upgrade takes effect.
More about this upgrade from the official Google Analytics blog.
